Overview of College Coach Services

• Provide a general timeline of applying to colleges that will become personalized once the student determines the schools to which they are applying.

• Meet with students and families throughout the contracted timeline to answer questions, research information, and provide targeted advice on applying to college.

• Help students identify their Reach, Target, and Likely schools.

• Review and provide feedback on student's college application materials including:

  • Essays

  • Activities and Awards

  • Resume

  • Other college application materials

• Provide direct support in entering the academic information into the application platforms:

  • UC Applications

  • CSU Applications

  • Common Application

  • Coalition Application

  • Institution specific applications

• Assist with community college concurrent enrollment and identifying transferable courses

• Knowledge of Financial Aid application processes (FAFSA and CSS Profile) 

• Support with general scholarship search and information

College Coach Contract

• Consists of approximately 7 sessions that cover all aspects of the college application process 

• As your advisor, I will tailor each session to fit your needs. All follow-up research, phone calls, and emails are included in the cost of the College Coach Contract

• Packages typically start by January of 11th grade and go through May of 12th grade, although timeframes can be modified with a signed contract

• Client communication via text, email, and phone available throughout the contract 

• Research and support provided outside of scheduled meetings

• The College Coach package ensures that the student starts their senior year of high school with the stress of college search and selection behind them so they can focus on the exciting year ahead.

• I limit the number of students I take each year to allow for maximum availability and support.  

Hourly Meetings

• Client proposed topic and goals for hourly sessions generally selected from the following:

  • College Search Overview

  • College Application Support (available August 1st through January 15th)

  • Essays, Activities, and Awards review and feedback

  • Personalized college application timeline

• Services provided during specified hours only

• Hourly meeting availability is not guaranteed as priority is given to College Coach contracted clients.
